Ladies Shopper Discount for Equal Pay Day

Date: April 2, 2019 Time: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Event Description Equal Pay Day symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. Women need to work an extra 3 months to earn what a man earned. Currently, Montana women with the same education, in the same occupation, still see an average pay difference of roughly 80 cents to every dollar a man makes. The wage difference for women of color is significantly higher across the board. (Hispanic women make 54 cents to the white man’s dollar, Black women – 62 cents, Native Hawaiian women – 62 cents, and Native American women – 58 cents to the white man’s dollar.) The following Bozeman businesses are highlighting this still-existing gap by offering a 20% discount on various products and services for women on April 2nd, National Equal Pay Day. If you’re out shopping that day, please consider patronizing these conscientious businesses: Townshend’s Bozeman Teahouse Hattie Rex Wild Joe’s Coffee Spot Spring Integrative Health The Country Bookshelf The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company Jelt Treeline Coffee Roasters (both locations) Alara Jewelry Café Fresco Red Tractor Pizza Great Turning Healing Center
